Class Guide

We offer a wide variety of classes, taught by expert martial artists, most of whom once were, or still are, pro fighters. Our classes are taught in a relaxed and friendly environment, but we will give you the push you need to train well and stay motivated. You will progress quickly without being overwhelmed with the intensity of our classes. We encourage all our students to go at their own pace. We will build your fitness up from scratch, there is no need to make a trip to the local gym before coming to our classes. Whatever you choose to pursue at Headhunters, WE WILL GET YOU FIT!

No need to bring any special equipment, just bring yourself and a well motivated mind. Your first class is free and THERE IS NO JOINING FEE. You can pay per class, however there are great money-saving incentives to pay monthly if you wish to attend more than one class per week. MUAY THAI

An ancient martial art that is also a modern-day sport, Muay Thai involves the use of punches, kicks, knees and elbows to attack an opponent. It is an exciting martial art, great for fitness and self defence. There is also the opportunity to compete at various levels. We will teach you individual techniques and build up your knowledge base from scratch.

K1 KICKBOXING

Combine boxing skills with a wide range of kicks and knees (unlike in Muay Thai, there are no elbows in kickboxing!).

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU (BJJ) without GI

Classes focus on all aspects of ground fighting, including submissions, wrestling takedowns, control and escapes. No gi is required for these classes.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA)

MMA uses the most effective techniques from a range of martial arts such as Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ and Judo, combining them to form a modern day full contact combat sport.

ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE AND CONDITIONING

Run by our very own Training for Warriors coach, these classes are designed to complement your martial arts training by improving your core, agility and overall awesomeness through a wide range of workouts that include high intensity interval training and Martin Rooney’s famous Hurricanes. Whatever your fitness level, these classes are open to anyone with a desire to improve some or all aspects of their conditioning and/or athletic performance.

MUAY THAI & MMA SPARRING

These classes are for students who have mastered the basic techniques, and now wish to practice these techniques in supervised contact fighting, with the possiblity of entering competitions.

KIDS MUAY THAI

Muay Thai class for kids between the ages 6 and 11. We’re sorry we can’t teach children under 6 years of age.

OPEN MAT

Come along and use available floor space and equipment to workout on your own or with others and hone your techniques. Morning open mat sessions are subject to availability, please check Facebook for announcements. Evening open mat sessions are always on, please see the timetables for more information.
